Zaterdag 19 januari waren we weer aanwezig op de Ducosim spellenbeurs. Een ontspannen beurs met veel gelegenheid om spellen uitgelegd te krijgen, 2e hands koopjes te vinden of uiteraard nieuwe spellen aan te kopen. Daarnaast zijn tegenwoordig vaak auteurs met hun prototypes aanwezig. En uitgever 999 Games is altijd aanwezig om je concepten aan te pitchen. Bovendien de entree is niet duur (of gratis als je lid wordt). Kortom, de beurs is een aanrader!

Saturday 19 January we joined the Ducosim Game Fair once again. The event is laidback and has many opportunities to get game demonstrations, find second hand games or of course buy new games. These days you can find many game designers with their prototypes as well. The publisher 999 Games is always there for accepting game pitches as well. The entrance fee is not expensive (or become a member and get free acces). In sum, this fair is recommended!

Hieronder zie foto’s van onze december speltestavond in Groningen bij Indietopia. De deelnemers hebben een aantal prototypes getest. Daarnaast toonde Gaspar 3 spellen met historisch thema wat hij voor een hotel in Hongarije heeft gemaakt (gedrukt via ‘The Gamecrafter’). Ten slotte, Robin liet een proefversie zien van het spel wat ze op dit moment aan het crowdfunden zijn, ‘The epic story of blank and blank’.

Below an impression of our December 2018 Tabletop Testing Night in Groningen. Participants playtested some prototypes. Gaspar created 3 historically themed games in order for a hotel in Hungary and showed us the results (printed via ‘The Gamecrafter’). Finally Robin showcased the proof copy of a game currently being crowdfunded, ‘The epic story of blank and blank’.

Terugblik op de SpellenSpektakel beurs 2018

In het weekend van 10 en 11 november was het SpellenSpektakel in Eindhoven. Daar waren meerdere spelauteurs aanwezig op het Auteursplein met hun eigen gepubliceerde spellen, concepten en/ of aanstaande crowdfunding spel campagnes!

De beurs werd goed bezocht en de auteurs gaven aan goed bezocht te zijn aan hun tafels. De locatie op de begane grond, naast het Indie Plein (met kleinere uitgevers), was ook prettig. Sommige auteurs hebben ook nuttig afspraken gemaakt met aanwezige uitgevers om concepten te pitchen en het over de bordspelmarkt te hebben.

Hieronder een foto impressie van de beurs. Dank aan het SpellenSpektakel en de deelnemers dat dit zo goed uit de verf is gekomen!

Looking back SpellenSpektakel Convention 2018

In the weekend of 10 and 11 November was the SpellenSpektakel in Eindhoven. At the Game Designer Plaza several game designers demonstrated their published games, new concepts and/ or imminent crowdfunding game campaigns!

The convention was well visited and the designers indicated they had quite some visitors at their tables. The location, besides the Indie Plaza (with smaller publishers), was well liked. Some designers made well use of their spot and also made appointments with publishers to pitch concepts and discuss the tabletop game market.

Samen met de gastheren Mitchell en Friso hebben we onze eerste speltestavond in de Blokhuispoort in Leeuwarden gehad. Het was een gezellige avond en met ruim 15 deelnemers hebben we meerdere concepten gespeeld. Volgende maand is er weer een testavond in Leeuwarden (en Groningen)!

With hosts Mitchell and Friso we had our first tabletop testing night in Leeuwarden at the Blokhuispoort building. It was a cosy evening and with more than 15 participants we playtested multiple prototypes. Next month there will be another playtesting event in Leeuwarden (and Groningen)!

Met een klein gezelschap hebben we weer meerdere concepten gespeeld. Dank aan alle deelnemers! Vrijdag 7 december hebben we weer de volgende testavond in Groningen. Meer zin? 16 november testen we ook in Leeuwarden.
